I’m Holly… I like stuff… I write stuff, sing stuff, play stuff, do stuff…. As you can tell, I don’t really like to write about myself, so maybe you can learn about me through what I post.

Why would you start a blog? who are you writing for? What is the point? these are all questions that I got asked when I thought of starting my own website. All of which, at the time were perfectly valid questions. Then, someone said to me; Why not? …..Why not indeed. I didn’t start writing with a reason why, I started because it was something that I enjoyed and felt that I was somewhat good at.

Who are you writing for? well… no one in particular…. I am doing this because of a passion and if I happen to find like minded people along the way then great… It is something that I love, I enjoy it and it makes me feel at home.

For me writing reminds me of what it feels like to have hope, particularly when i am struggling to find it myself… it is the one thing I had when I was lost. The one way I could find myself when my path became confused. Some of you may listen to podcasts, read a book, draw, play sport, go for a walk… whatever it is that gives you bliss… remember to do that. Be that bliss and remember who that person is…..

Writing is remembering that 8 year old girl who was excited about everything, allowing me to find her and go in and get her. It is like the feeling you get after that first beer, the one where you lose your inhibitions and your ability to care about trivial shit that doesn’t even matter….

I guess it allows me to be whoever I want to be with no judgement, no one telling me that I can’t and ultimately, I am able to just be ME 🙂
